The Bureau of Human Resources' goal is to help KDOT stand out when it comes to its people, from leadership, performance, and talent management to benefits and career opportunities. In all that we do, we seek to create a competitive advantage by dedicating resources to attracting, developing, and retaining talented individuals who are people focused, results oriented, forward looking and accountable. 

The HR staff are also involved with the maintenance of personnel files and assuring that we support the employee along the various steps of their life cycle while at KDOT. This would include aiding our employees through recruiting, orientation, promotions, leave and eventually for some retirement process. We are committed to providing effective Human Resources services and aligning our strategic role with the Department of Transportation’s growth and success.
