Service Awards

Your personnel clerk will forward your selection to the Bureau of Human Resources, which will place your order. Gift selections are final and non-exchangeable (unless there is a manufacturer defect).

KDOT service certificates are available. These are awarded for services to the agency and may/may not be the same as your state service anniversary.

Your personnel clerk is responsible for determining your eligibility and for requesting the preparation of the certificate form from the Print Shop.

All awards are presented in the manner and fashion decided by your senior manager.

Employees in classified regular positions and employees in the unclassified service are eligible to receive a service award. Employees serving in a classified temporary capacity (working 999 hours or less in a one-year period) are not eligible to receive an award, as the State recognizes state service for benefits/KEPERS eligible positions only.
